A warm welcome to Kath Wurtz

“Thanks for the warm welcome. I was born on Long Island to Kath and Ed Wurts who lived here at the Townehouse for many years. Ironically, they lived on the sixth floor a few doors down from where I live right now. I attended college at the Immaculata University, at that time an all-girls school, near Philadelphia PA. My teaching career began in New Jersey for eight years and I taught fifth and sixth graders in the Hueneme School District at Parkview for over twenty-five years. In New Jersey I was an ambulance attendant with the all-volunteer rescue squad. At that time, through-out most of the state, all ambulance service was free! I continued teaching first aid to my students during the school year and during summer school here. Teaching cheerleading was also a vocation of mine. Traveling to most all of the European countries, three different times, plus visiting over half of the US states and a stay in Japan were done with my love of travel. To live here at the Townehouse is, by far, my best choice.”
