Carolina was born in San Antonio, Texas. As a young child her family moved a lot. She remembers her father designing a bus for the family so they could comfortably travel across the country. They finally settled in Lindsay, California. There Carolina attended high school. On career day Carolina told her counselor she wanted a career in nursing. Money was not available for college, so Carolina volunteered at the local hospital as a Candy Striper. The medical staff soon saw she was a fast learner, gaining the knowledge for the job. she soon stepped in to cover for nursing duties while earning the grand sum of 97 cents per hour.
Carolina is grateful for so many opportunities in her life where she was given the opportunity to help others, including her family. Now she is retired and enjoys the freedom to come and go and do the things she enjoys. Carolina has lived at the Townehouse for fifteen years. She loves her apartment. She enjoys socializing and participating in activities.
