In Al’s Own Words
“Guess the place to start is where we each began our life’s journey. Peggy was born in a log cabin in the hills of Virginia, and I was born (so my mother told me) in a trash can in Pennsylvania. Fate stepped in and we both wound up in Los Angeles California. In 1974 my former sister-in-law, who knew Peggy, introduced me to her saying that this would be the girl I would marry. We began our lives together in 1975 and married in 1985 and will be celebrating our 38th anniversary. We have five children, three daughters and two sons, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
“When we met, Peggy was the comptroller for W.J. Sloan’s, a Beverly Hills retail furniture store, and in 1989 started MHR, a consulting firm assisting lawyers set up their offices. I owned Airmec Inc, an automotive air conditioning and parts manufacturing company and together, in 1985, we started R Video Productions Company. Peggy retired in 1995 and I retired in 1999. During these past 48 years we have enjoyed a very active life. In addition to our business, we sailed the seas and lakes in our Sea Ray boat and traveled or cruised to mostly everywhere. We had houses, the fancy cars, and boats, now we choose to continue our lives without all that goes with that lifestyle. Although we have many travels and adventures ahead, we chose the Ventura Townehouse for the next phase in our lives together. We look forward to making new friends here at the Townehouse and enjoying the many tales to be told.”
